Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how RAGMI Labs ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the RAGMI application ("RAGMI for Mac") and the RAGMI Player application ("the Player"), both available on the Apple App Store. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

Both applications are local-first. Neither requires an account, neither connects to our servers during normal use, and neither transmits your personal data to any third party. Where Sign In with Apple is used to manage access to a published folio, that authentication is handled entirely by Apple — RAGMI Labs receives no identity information.

Data We Do Not Collect

RAGMI does not collect, transmit, store, or have access to any of the following:

  • Your photos, videos, audio files, or documents
  • Your written stories, narrative entries, or personal descriptions
  • Information about the people in your Connections
  • Your timeline data or life history
  • Your exported Human Context Protocol (HCP) files
  • Your name, email address, or any identifying information
  • Your location or device location data
  • Usage analytics, behavioural data, or crash reports

All data you create within RAGMI is stored exclusively on your local device and is never transmitted to RAGMI Labs.

Local Storage

All folios, media, stories, connections, timelines, and exported files created within RAGMI are stored locally on your Mac, in locations you control. Audio commentary recordings — which can be attached to any story, connection, album, or song — are likewise stored locally on your device. RAGMI does not create hidden data stores or upload copies of your data to any remote location.

You are solely responsible for the security of your device and any backups you choose to make of your RAGMI data.

HCP Exports & Published Folios

RAGMI allows you to export your folio in Human Context Protocol (HCP) format for use with third-party AI agents and tools. These exports are created locally on your device and are not transmitted to RAGMI Labs.

RAGMI also provides a Publish function, which generates a .ragmi file — a packaged, read-only version of your folio for use with the RAGMI Player. You can share this file universally, or restrict it to named recipients using Sign In with Apple. When recipient-restricted, Apple's authentication infrastructure verifies the recipient's identity before the file opens; RAGMI Labs does not receive the recipient's Apple ID, name, or any other identifying information as part of this process.

When you choose to load an HCP export into a third-party AI agent or application, that use is governed by the privacy policy of that third-party service. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any AI platform you share your data with. RAGMI Labs has no visibility into, or responsibility for, how third parties handle data you choose to provide to them.

Apple App Store & Platform Data

RAGMI for Mac is distributed through the Apple Mac App Store. RAGMI Player is distributed through the Apple iOS App Store. Apple may collect certain data in connection with your App Store account, purchase history, and device — this is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not ours. We do not receive personally identifiable information from Apple about individual users.

Where the Publish feature uses Sign In with Apple to restrict folio access to named recipients, Apple handles all authentication. RAGMI Labs does not receive, store, or process any Apple ID credentials or personal information arising from Sign In with Apple interactions.

Neither RAGMI for Mac nor RAGMI Player uses any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking libraries.

Children's Privacy

RAGMI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. As RAGMI collects no personal data from any user, no special provisions for children's data are required beyond this commitment.

Data Security

Because RAGMI stores all data locally on your device, the security of your data depends on the security of your Mac. We recommend using macOS's built-in security features — including FileVault disk encryption, a strong login password, and regular system updates — to protect your data.

RAGMI Labs has no ability to access, recover, or delete your local data on your behalf.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of RAGMI following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

Any future versions of RAGMI that introduce network features or data collection will be accompanied by explicit disclosure and, where required by law, your consent.
